I first experienced the idea of playing in a rock band when I was maybe 5 or 6 years old, miming and banging on fake instruments with my older brothers. This grasping and imitative impulse continue throughout my childhood until one day I snuck into my brother's room to mess around with his gaudy aqua blue Fender Super Strat. Fast forward through a trajectory of grade school/junior high/high school band, after-school metal meetups, cerebral college prog, twenty-something alternative ennui, 30's Seattle indie rock underbelly, sliding into working class country rock culture, and landing on composer-for-hire, music mentor, and singer-songwriter- it's been a long road.
These days, I occasionally reach out to my musical homies from across the far reaches of the western US to play private and public events, house parties, festivals, and the like. We play a lot of different music, ranging from intimate, low volume acoustic solo, duo, or trio shows, to the full rock band experience. The coolest thing about this band is that it can be whatever we (that's myself, the band, and you, the music lover) want it to be for any show. Maybe it's a showcase of the dozens (nay, hundreds!?) of original songs I've crafted over the years. Or, perhaps it's a bespoke collection of soulful folk rock tunes from the 70's to today for your bougie wine party. There are many possibilities....
Scroll down for samples, both aural and visual, of some of these possibilities....
